Samantha Anton currently serves as the High School League Program Coordinator for UCI Esports. In this role, she focuses on managing tournament operations and organizing event production for the Orange County High School Esports League, which holds 25 schools and 38 teams in its 2018 season. In her previous roles, Samantha coordinated events for various higher education departments. Samantha is a proud graduate of the University of California, Irvine with her bachelor’s degree in Film & Media Studies and Political Science. Go Anteaters!

Game to Grow: How Esports Can Shape Student Success
The Orange County High School Esports League is leveraging student skills and passion for Esports to frame an exciting new program for student learning. While gameplay and rivalries are the cornerstones of the League, experts see an opportunity to weave STEM, English Language Arts (ELA), and social emotional learning into one of the most popular pastimes for students today. The League combines a competitive tournament, mentorship, adaptive learning programs, and abloomingcurriculum (planned for Fall 2018). Partners include the Orange County Department of Education, University of California Irvine, Connected Camps, Connected Learning Lab, OC STEM, andAlvarez & Marsal.
