After Day 3 of 2017 Mid-Season Invitational has concluded, SKT T1 is currently in the dominant first place going 6-0, while the race to secure the three remaining Knockout Stage spots is fierce as ever.

Although TSM defeated G2 in the Day 3 matchup, TSM lacked finesse in terms of gameplay and lost to Team WE, placing themselves in the bottom among Flash Wolves and Gigabyte Marines with a 2-4 record.

The second match of Day 4 Group Stage will be between TSM and Gigabyte Marines. Since TSM will be facing the undefeated SKT T1 in the fifth match of the day, losing against Gigabyte Marines will significantly impact TSM’s chance of advancing to the Knockout Stage.

On the other hand, Gigabyte Marines has more legroom. Despite losing to SKT T1 on Day 3, Gigabyte Marines had good showings with their aggressive playstyle and took a win against Team WE, which defeated TSM. Since Gigabyte Marines already got their revenge for Play In Stage by defeating TSM on Day 1, the general consensus is that Gigabyte Marines will have much less pressure going into the matchup than TSM.

Which team will the goddess of victory smile upon? All eyes are on the second half of 2017 MSI Group Stage as teams to participate in the Knockout Stage are shaping up.
