The 2025 PUBG MOBILE Global Open has entered a decisive phase as 80 amateur teams from five regions gear up for the Open Qualifiers Final after an initial field of more than 90,000 registered players was whittled down over two intense rounds.
The finals are set to take place this weekend, with most regions competing from March 1st to 2nd and teams from Asia and the MENA region extending their matches through March 3rd. In this final stage, each region’s top 16 teams will battle for one of 12 coveted slots in the Prelims, scheduled for April 10th and 11th.
Round one of the qualifiers showcased standout performances, as teams like Asia’s GLU SQUAD and Europe’s BRX Mumia delivered impressive scores – with the latter recording 201 points and three Chicken Dinners – setting a high competitive bar. However, the dynamic nature of the tournament was underscored in round two, where Razer Esports BR edged past BURN IN SILENCE by a single point, shifting the regional hierarchy and leaving several early frontrunners reeling.

The Open Qualifiers Final represents a pivotal juncture in the tournament, providing emerging talent a shot at securing a place in the upcoming Prelims. Success in this stage will see 12 of the 80 teams join the four top finishers from the 2025 PMGO Uzbekistan Offline Qualifiers in a bid to advance to the Main Event.
Scheduled for April 12th and 13th, the PMGO Main Event will merge the worlds of amateur and professional PUBG MOBILE esports, with a $500,000 prize pool at stake under a new, innovative tournament format designed to elevate competitive play on the global stage. Fans and participants alike are watching closely as the tournament unfolds, anticipating the next chapter in what has become one of the most compelling esports events in mobile gaming history.
