PUBG MOBILE Esports has officially launched registration for the 2025 PUBG MOBILE Global Open (PMGO), inviting amateur teams worldwide to compete for a share of the $500,000 prize pool. Interested teams have until February 9 to sign up, marking the tournament as a significant opportunity for emerging talent in the PUBG MOBILE competitive scene.
The 2025 PMGO serves as the inaugural international event of the year, providing a platform for amateur players to demonstrate their skills on a global stage. The competition will unfold over several stages, culminating in the Main Event scheduled for April 12-13 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. During the final showdown, amateur and professional teams will vie for top honors and prize money.
Emphasizing the development of grassroots esports, PUBG MOBILE Esports has restricted participation to amateur teams, excluding players from the 2024 and 2025 regional professional leagues. This initiative aligns with the organization's commitment to fostering new talent and expanding esports opportunities throughout the year.
The tournament structure includes multiple stages beginning with Open Qualifiers from February 13-16, where the top 128 teams from each server will advance to the second round from February 20-23. The final round of qualifiers will take place on March 1-2, determining which teams move forward to the PMGO Prelims on April 10-11. These preliminaries will decide the final slots for the Main Event in Tashkent.
In addition to the PMGO, PUBG MOBILE Esports has announced a total investment of $10 million for the 2025 season. This funding will support various initiatives, including prize pools, third-party tournament incentives, and female-focused events, further cementing PUBG MOBILE’s role in the global esports landscape.
The 2025 PMGO is anticipated to kick off a dynamic year for PUBG MOBILE Esports, alongside other major events such as the PUBG MOBILE World Cup (PMWC) and the PUBG MOBILE Global Championship (PMGC).
