As the holiday season is upon the Teamfight Tactics' community, Riot Games decided to announce what players can expect under their Christmas trees on Monday afternoon with information pertaining to the upcoming mid-set expansion. Titled Teamfight Tactics: Fates Festival of Beasts and schedule to go live on January 21, 2021 in patch 11.2, players will see six traits and 20 total champions removed from the game.
According to a tweet shared on the game's official Twitter account, Moonlight, Tormented, Shade, Dusk, Hunter, and Dazzler units and traits will be rotated out, aside from a select few.
In a follow-up tweet from the game's account and Lead Designer Stephen "Mortdog" Mortimer, it was confirmed that Nami, Hecarim, Xin Zhao, Jhin, Jinx, Ahri, Lissandra, Aphelios, Sylas, Vayne, Thresh, Cassiopeia, Riven, Lillia, Kayn, Evelynn, Ashe, Warwick, Lux, and Ezreal will all be removed once patch 11.2 goes live and new content is rolled out.
More information will be shared as to who may be joining the champion pool as Set 4.5 approaches in the next month.
