The 2020 Inven Global Esports Conference took place across two days earlier this week. Day 1 has already been recapped, so let's take a look at the digital smorgasbord of esports discussion had to offer on day 2.
The second day of the 2020 Inven Global Esports Conference is less than an hour away, but before things get started, let's take a look at everything that happened on day one of the very first digital IGEC.
"Esports & Black Lives Matter: A Conversation" will go live on the Inven Global Twitter via Periscope, and will discuss the intersection between esports and modern day civil rights movement #BlackLivesMatter.
The panel took place on Friday, May 29 at 2:00pm PT, and was hosted by Inven Global's Director of Corporate Strategy Nick D'Orazio. HyperX sponsored the panel, which featured four panelists: Hantao Yuan, Jordan O'Hara, Rachel Feinberg, and Daniel "DGon" Gonzales.
This week's panel focused on the merchandising and fashion verticals of the esports industry, and also, how the two intersect in a myriad of contexts. HyperX sponsored the panel, as it has with the previous digital installments of IGEC 2020.
Thanks to HyperX, another online panel for the 2020 Inven Global Esports Conference is fast approaching. Today's panel, 'Esports Agents & Player Representation,' will be hosted by Inven Global Partnerships Manager Kelsey Remige, and will go live on Twitter at 2:00pm PT.
Kelsey Remige joined the Inven Global team at the start of 2020. Her experience in both interviewing professional players in the League of Legends Championship Series and player management at Evolved Talent Agency have helped her craft a nuanced understanding of professional representation in esports. The panel will be rounded out by four branding specialists who work for some of the top organizations in esports.
This week's installment of 'Nick's Esports Talks' centers around four specific traits that all enduring esports have in common. Any game that has stood the test of time as a competitive title has checked off the four boxes that this week's lecture will center around.
Today's panel, 'Riot's New Esports Titles', will be hosted by Inven Global Director of Corporate Strategy Nick D'Orazio and will focus on the new titles League of Legends developer Riot Games is rolling out in the coming months, as well as the potential competitive space for these new games. The panel will go live on Inven Global's Twitch channel on Friday, April 17 at 2:00pm PT.
Inven Global now has a channel on Twitch, and the team has started to utilize the channel for streaming panels that were going to be part of the 2020 Inven Global Esports Conference before the statewide lockdown in California.
Our second panel of many more to come is the unavoidable topic everyone must face: "Esports & Well-being: Burnout, Fatigue, & Mental Health." This panel discussion will address the everpresent importance of awareness regarding mental wellness in esports and gaming, which is one that has been emphasized in the lockdown-like state of society following the COVID-19 outbreak.
To start off our digital conference series, we invited Ryan "Gootecks" Gutierrez, Trisha Hershberger, Freya Fox and Scott Adametz, Esports Tech Lead at Riot Games to join Inven Global's Director of Corporate Strategy, Nick D'Orazio in a frank discussion about how the esports industry can survive and even thrive in the new normal that is COVID-19.
