During the final week of the LCS Summer Split, Cloud9 mid laner Luka "Perkz" Perković spoke to Inven Global about the post-season picture, overcoming obstacles throughout the summer, and C9's current form.
Cloud9 secured its first win of the 2021 Mid-Season Invitational during day 3 of the group stage against Infinity Esports, and after the North American representative's win, C9 mid laner Luka "Perkz" Perković joined Laure Valée on the broadcast for a post-game interview. During one of his answers to Valée's questions, Perkz admitted that despite a strong carry performance on Tristana, he was a bit at a loss for what has actually defined the mid lane throughout the first three days of MSI.

"I think the loss of Bjergsen might actually be bigger than what we've gained," Jensen explained. "In terms of mid lane talent, this year at least, I always felt like I learned more from playing against Bjergsen compared to what I've learned so far this year."

C9 can’t just plug Perkz in place of Nisqy and expect to become a better team, and that’s even before accounting for Fudge’s LCS debut this coming spring. New head coach Kim “Reignover” Yeu-jin should help a semi-established roster start fresh, and the execution of the new C9 system being put into place will be crucial for the organization to get the mileage out of Perkz worth the price of admission.
