Professional streamer and former competitive gamer, Michael “Shroud” Grzesiek, announced he is returning back to his roots with a deal to livestream exclusively on Twitch at www.twitch.com/Shroud. Shroud celebrates his homecoming and will be kicking off his first stream very soon. Fans can follow his Twitter for the exact date and time.
Ninja just held his first stream since his departure from Mixer on YouTube, peaking at 167,000 viewers and eclipsing his peak Twitch viewership from his last weeks on the platform one year ago. This was Ninja's first ever YouTube stream, averaging around 100,000 throughout his hour and a half long live on the platform. Read more on his stream here:
Ninja and Michael "Shroud" Grzesiek were the only two Mixer streamers who were not part of Microsoft's deal with Facebook Gaming, instead getting paid out in full to explore their options.
UPDATE 6/22: More members of the community have voiced their thoughts via Twitter on Mixer's shutdown and subsequent Facebook Gaming partnership.
In one month, on July 22nd, Microsoft will be shutting down their livestreaming platform, Mixer, and will move their viewers and partners to Facebook Gaming. Ninja and Shroud have become free agents, hinting at move back to Twitch. Read the story here:

Tyler "Ninja" Blevins has become an almost household name over the past few years as he has risen the ranks of Twitch streamer to internet celebrity to global icon. It's difficult to tell whether Fortnite or Blevins would be as popular as they are without one another so the former is thanking the latter in a way that many (including Blevins) have dreamed of for years. On Wednesday morning, Blevins, streaming now on Microsoft's Mixer platform, revealed that he was getting his own personalized in-game skin, pickaxe, back bling and dance emote in his likeness. Grinning ear to ear, Blevin's could help but giggle and yell in excitement when he finally showed off the cosmetics to the thousands watching his stream.
On Tuesday afternoon, the next chapter in the story of 2019's "streaming wars" was written and it included some big names. Simultaneously, Ben "DrLupo" Lupo, Tim "timthetatman" Betar and Saqib "Lirik" Zahid released videos on their Twitter accounts announcing that they had all signed multi-year extensions with Twitch to remain on the platform exclusively for the foreseeable future. The compensation and length of the deal was not made public.
