Three Teams to watch in Week 5 of the 2019 LCS Summer Split

This week of LCS features matchups that may define the entire season for teams sitting on the proverbial fence of 'pretender' and 'contender'. Keep an eye on these three teams heading into week 5 of the LCS.

TSM Broken Blade: "Not a day goes by without me thinking we should have won the LCS Spring Finals."

TSM Top Laner Sergen "Broken Blade" Çelik joined Nick Geracie following TSM's victory over Fnatic to talk about his spring to summer growth, playing against LEC Top Laners, and playing with both Jonathan "Grig" Armao and Matthew "Akaadian" Higginbotham sharing time in the Jungle.

CG Huni: "I become stronger when I'm vs. Echo Fox."

Huni joined Inven Global's Lara Lunardi after the game to talk about beating his former team. "It felt really good, honestly," said Huni. "Before the game, I was thinking I really didn't want to lose to Echo Fox, for sure."

C9 Licorice: "Since other teams don't have priority on Akali, we've been able to get it in a lot of drafts."

"What happens a lot of the time when a champion gets nerfed is people just stop playing it, even if it's still good," explained the C9 Top Laner.

FLY Invert: "I don’t think we are listening to each other as well as we should."

Inven Global spoke with FlyQuest Head Coach Gabriel "Invert" Zoltan-Johan after their loss against Clutch Gaming about their priority on the Elise pick, problems with the team, Support Kim "Wadid" Bae-In joining the team and splitting scrim time Juan "JayJ" Guibert, and using Academy teams for practice.
