On Monday, June 15, Blizzard Entertainment unveiled details regarding an upcoming event and content coming to Heroes of the Storm for the community to get their hands on as soon as possible. As the hero brawler recently celebrated its fifth birthday, the development team decided to thank the playerbase by returning a fan-favorite event and turn one of the most popular characters in the Blizzard universe into a playable Heroes of the Storm character.
A brilliant mind with a sunny disposition, Dr. Mei-Ling Zhou joined Overwatch to help solve the world's growing climate problems. Armed with a host of weather-altering technologies, Mei now fights to protect her friends and secure a future for a troubled world. And just like that, 2019 has nearly come to an end. Over the past 12 months, Blizzard Entertainment has continued to allow the Heroes of the Storm development team to churn out new content (albeit at a slower cadence than usual) and the community has had to adjust as well. Based on how 2018 came to an end, it could be much worse. In December of last year, President of Blizzard, J. Allen Brack, issued a statement declaring the Heroes of the Storm competitive scene would no longer be supported by the game's publisher and that developers would be reassigned to titles in the works and others that were deemed more important to the long-term health of the company.
On the 26th (KST), Hanwha Life Esports announced through their official Facebook page that they've signed Kang “Haru” Min-seung as their jungler and Lee “Sake” Jung-hyuk as a c
Shortly after the dust settled at the Anaheim Convention Center on November 3, 2018, where the annual BlizzCon event was held, it was time to look towards the future. Professional Heroes of the Storm players and fans had just witnessed Gen. G esports crush Team Dignitas to cement themselves as arguably the greatest team that has ever competed in the game's multi-year history and take home a sizeable $500,000 cash prize for their efforts.
After a rough calendar year in which the competitive scene was slashed, developers were pulled from the title, and new content was few and far between, Heroes of Storm looks to regain momentum in 2020 following what was announced at BlizzCon Friday morning. At the annual gaming event held at the Anaheim Convention Center, thousands traveled from around the world to celebrate what has, can, and will be coming to their favorite titles.
The time has come. Just a little later than some (many) would have liked. On Tuesday afternoon, the Heroes of the Storm social media team dropped, arguably, one of the most anticipated tweets in the game's history. The time has come. Just a little later than some (many) would have liked. On Tuesday afternoon, the Heroes of the Storm social media team dropped, arguably, one of the most anticipated tweets in the game's history. However, as the years went by, there was one name that kept appearing in posts on Reddit, social media, and in the conversation surrounding the game...Deathwing. Fans held out hope that the next hero would be The Destroyer but, patch after patch, year after year, he was passed by.

On the 29th of May (KST), Gen.G Esports announced that they've signed Lee “Rich” Jae-won and Kim “Asper” Tae-ki to their roster. By signing Rich, a legendary Heroes of the
Shocking news greeted Heroes of the Storm fans on December 14th -- the HGC, the official esports league for Heroes of the Storm, would no longer be held in 2019. It's natural that no tournaments are held when the popularity of the title falls short. However, the way that Blizzard announced the end of the HGC was quite shocking - not only because it came without warning, but also because it was very unlike Blizzard, who has a reputation as one of the best gaming companies in the world. Needless to say, this caused quite a bit of disappointment and anger. In just one announcement, Heroes of the Storm esports was wiped from the esports economy. Numerous people who were dedicated to HotS esports lost their jobs in just one day. Gen.G Jae-Won ‘Rich' Lee, who is known as the Faker in the HotS esports scene, also lost the chance to play on the stage.

"I'll never stop fighting, for my family, for the realm, for the nexus!"
I think I’m the happiest when I’m playing a game that I really love and I’m streaming it and, it doesn’t have to be anything crazy, but even just people in chat saying stuff like, “Thanks for streaming,” “That was a really cool tip,” “I love the way you play that hero, I haven’t seen that talent build before, that was cool.”

Dragoons are shielded units that deal lots of damage in Starcraft, so perhaps Fenix's Heroes of the Storm debut will play similar to Rexxar as a ranged tank. The specialist category may also fit Fenix, as his fighting style is, to say the least, unconventional.
Snitch: I think it’s very clear that the changes that North America made throughout 2018 HGC have benefitted them amazingly. The new lineups are very dedicated
