As esports continues its crash course into mainstream culture, those advancing the aesthetics of competitive gaming have never been more vital to the cause of global esports domination.
It is that time of the year again, and I am not talking about Christmas. It is time for another season of the Overwatch League. Previously, on the Overwatch League, New York Excelsior had a heartbreaking semifinal against Vancouver, the Titans had an extraordinary season until they met the San Francisco Shock in the grand finals, and the Shock is your new 2019 Overwatch League champions. Many emotions were felt in the Blizzard Arena from heartache, laughter, cries, and elation.
Misfits Gaming, which owns Miami-based Overwatch League team the Florida Mayhem, will work with Gift of Life to educate the public and recruit new marrow and stem cell donors at tournaments and gaming events. Gift of Life registers volunteer bone marrow and stem cell donors to help cure leukemia, lymphoma, sickle cell, and nearly 100 other diseases through transplantation.
