UPDATE Dec. 19: 100 Thieves has made a few more moves before the end of the year, giving 100 Thieves Academy head coach Greyson "Goldenglue" Gilmer an extra pair of helping hands in the form of new assistant coach Danny "Dan Dan" Le Comte, who was signed on December 16, then shortly after finished the 2022 100 Thieves Next roster around General Sniper, who has rebranded to Sniper following his announcement as the new top laner for 100 Thieves Next.
After hoisting the LCS trophy, the players and coaches of 100 Thieves joined members of the media for a post-match press conference hosted by The Story Mob's Miles Yim to discuss the 3-0 win over Team Liquid, reflect on each member of the team's career road to the title of LCS champion, and look ahead towards Worlds 2021.
After sending Evil Geniuses to the lower bracket, Abbedagge joined Inven Global for a brief chat about 100 Thieves' epic 3-2 win, qualifying for Worlds 2021, and his thoughts on the rest of the post-season.
Up against Dignitas, 100 Thieves avoided elimination in a clean sweep. Dignitas will join Evil Geniuses in elimination, while 100 Thieves will move on in the lower bracket to face TSM.
With Immortals' best possible record to end the split being 9-9, TSM will and 100 Thieves are guaranteed spots in the Mid-Season Showdown with 10 wins apiece.
At the end of the interview, Dash asked Damonte if he, as someone who now has a few years of LCS experience under his belt, had any advice or insights to pass onto any rookies making their LCS debut in 2021. Damonte laughed before saying: "For all the new rookies: Definitely lay off of the cringe, cocky comments. It's pretty weird if you come into the LCS not proven at all and ****-talk everyone...probably prove yourself before saying stuff like that."
