PUBG MOBILE Esports Unveils 2025 Global Roadmap, Expanding Tournaments and Amateur Opportunities

PUBG MOBILE Esports has unveiled its competitive roadmap for the 2025 season, outlining a host of updates designed to drive global expansion, broaden amateur pathways, and deliver a series of high-stakes international tournaments.

The announcement detailed significant changes to the tournament structure, including a revamped Global Open finals format, an expanded Super League, and the return of the World Cup as part of the Esports World Cup in Riyadh. Plans also include the Global Championship scheduled to take place in Thailand later in the year.

The updated Global Open has already attracted nearly 100,000 players from over 150 countries, serving as a critical stepping stone for amateur teams to gain experience against established regional squads. The tournament’s Grand Finals, set to be held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, will feature a $500,000 prize pool and bring together top-tier professionals alongside qualifiers who advanced through the preliminary rounds.

In a bid to enhance competitive opportunities further, the Super League will now be segmented into five regional divisions covering Southeast Asia, Central and South Asia, the Americas, the Middle East and Africa, and Europe. This restructuring also includes splitting the EMEA bracket into separate European and MENA competitions, fostering more localized rivalries and opportunities.

Looking ahead to the summer, PUBG MOBILE Esports plans to return to the Esports World Cup in Riyadh with a $3,000,000 prize pool and a lineup of 24 teams comprising regional qualifiers and selected national representatives. The season will culminate with the Global Championship in Thailand, where 38 teams will compete for the ultimate title.

In addition to these marquee events, the organization will bolster community engagement through third-party tournaments, caster competitions, and a fan design contest aimed at generating custom in-game content, underscoring its commitment to an inclusive and dynamic competitive landscape.
