IEM Katowice 2025 to Host Major Counter-Strike Tournament

The Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) Katowice 2025 is poised to become one of the year’s premier esports events, drawing top-tier Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) teams and thousands of fans to Katowice, Poland, from January 29 to February 9. This marks the tournament’s 13th edition, with the final stages set to take place at the renowned Spodek Arena, promising an electrifying atmosphere for both live and online audiences.

 

Presented by ESL FACEIT Group, IEM Katowice 2025 will feature 24 of the world’s best CS2 teams competing for a substantial prize pool of $1.25 million. The competition is structured in three stages: an initial double-elimination phase from January 29 to 31, a second stage from February 1 to 4 involving group play, and the playoffs from February 7 to 9. The ultimate winner will receive $460,000 and secure a coveted position in the Hall of Heroes, alongside advancing in the pursuit of the $1 million Intel® Grand Slam V.

 

 

A standout feature of this year’s tournament is the inclusion of Imperial fe, an all-women’s team with an impressive track record, including eight ESL Impact trophies. Their participation marks a significant milestone for diversity in esports, adding an exciting dynamic to the competition.

 

In addition to the competitive action, on-site activations will feature interactive booths from Intel and DHL, offering fans opportunities to try new hardware, win prizes, and interact with their favorite players. The DHL !DHLDrop initiative will provide special rewards to both arena attendees and online viewers, enhancing the overall fan experience.
