Teamfight Tactics (TFT), the world’s leading PC strategy game, has launched its annual Lunar Festival, featuring the return of a popular mid-set and a host of new festive cosmetics inspired by the Year of the Snake.
The event, which begins today with patch TFT13.4 and runs until March 31, 2025, reintroduces Revival: Festivals of Beasts, a limited-time game mode that harkens back to Set 4.5 from January 2021. This revival brings back fan-favorite champions and traits, enhanced with new trait augments and four prismatic traits. A notable change in this mode allows players to recruit units from a personal pool instead of a shared one, offering more strategic flexibility in team building.
Set revivals in TFT are designed to bring back beloved elements from previous updates, incorporating modern improvements to enhance gameplay. During the Lunar Festival, players can also engage with the Revival Ladder, a competitive leaderboard system where top performers can earn special rewards, including unique player borders.
In addition to the set revival, the festival introduces the Divine Serpent Realm, a new mythic arena, and a lineup of new Tacticians joining The Convergence. Cosmetic additions include a variety of Chibis and Little Legends, such as the exclusive Chibi Seraphine available through the Lunar Festival Event Pass. Other collectibles feature variants like Lantern Snek and Star Guardian Snek, available in the Rotating Shop.
The Lunar Festival Event Pass offers a range of rewards, including exclusive Chibis, Realm Crystals, Star Shards, and Treasure Tokens. These items are only obtainable during the event, encouraging players to participate actively throughout the festival period.
A mini cinematic titled Fortune Favors the Hungry is part of the festivities, highlighting the new Chibis and Little Legends as they join the celebration. Riot Games also teased two additional set revivals slated for later in the year during the TFT Roadmap Reveal at the TFT Macao Open, promising continued excitement for the game's community.
Teamfight Tactics has maintained its position as a top contender in the auto battler genre since its launch in 2019, offering a deep, strategic gameplay experience across multiple platforms. As the largest PC strategy game globally, TFT continues to evolve, blending nostalgia with fresh content to keep its player base engaged.
