Over 90,000 players have registered for the 2025 PUBG MOBILE Global Open (PMGO) qualifiers, PUBG MOBILE Esports announced Monday, setting the stage for what promises to be a highly competitive tournament season.
The first round of the Open Qualifiers will run from Feb. 13 to 16, with teams battling through 12 matches over four days. Only the top 128 teams will advance to the second round, with the qualifiers ultimately serving as the pathway for emerging talent to reach the PMGO Main Event and compete for a share of a $500,000 prize pool.

Registration for the tournament was exclusively open to amateur players, ensuring that competitors from previous professional leagues, including the PUBG MOBILE Super League and PUBG MOBILE Challengers League, were not eligible. Teams featuring at least one player from the Ultimate 500 rankings in Cycle 7 Season 20 or 21 earned a direct entry into the second round of qualifiers.
After progressing through three rounds of Open Qualifiers and the PMGO Prelims, rising stars will have the chance to face off against seasoned pro teams during the Main Event. Four teams – Regnum Carya, Nigma Galaxy, 4Merical Vibes, and Influence Rage – have already confirmed their participation following strong performances in last year’s PUBG MOBILE Global Championship. Four additional elite teams will join them following further qualification rounds.

The qualifiers are the first step in a broader tournament calendar that also includes the PUBG MOBILE World Cup and the PUBG MOBILE Global Championship later this year. PUBG MOBILE Esports is backing the competitive circuit with a $10 million investment aimed at fostering grassroots development and expanding the global reach of mobile esports.
The PMGO qualifiers mark a significant milestone for PUBG MOBILE as it seeks to launch an era focused on nurturing emerging talent and reshaping the competitive landscape for mobile esports worldwide.
