In late June, Herschel "Guy" "Dr Disrespect" Beahm IV was issued an indefinite ban on Twitch, removing the eighth most followed streamer from the site. Still, a month and a half later, there has been no reason provided for the ban, and even Dr Disrespect himself stated he doesn't know why he was kicked from the platform. He even told PC Gamer, "We are considering taking legal action," against Twitch for mishandling his situation.

On August 8th, Dr Disrespect went to Instagram Live for a short session, ending with a news segment stating, "Dr Disrespect may return to streaming as soon as today." He added a "Join button" to his YouTube for $4.99, and uploaded a new short song, Red Skies, with lyrics like "I don't even know why I try anymore," and "You can't replace me." This is the second upload to his YouTube channel since the ban, his first being another music video. In that same interview with PC Gamer, Dr Disrespect mentioned he was working on a whole 3.0 experience. These videos may be something he will add more of in the future.

After the Instagram Live session ended, esports personality Rod "Slasher" Breslau cited sources reporting that neither YouTube nor Facebook Gaming had offered Dr Disrepect a contract to stream on their platform, however, he is free to stream as anyone else would. He has not been banned on other streaming platforms, but nobody has been willing to sign him to an exclusive deal yet as far as we currently know.

It isn't confirmed whether or not Dr Disrespect will make his return today, but for now, fans can find his YouTube and join his new Champions Club and get ready for the Doc 3.0. 

UPDATED 8/6: Dr Disrespect is live on YouTube. He has not appeared on stream yet, featuring a video of a red car at a "Champions Club" gas station in the rain. 

UPDATED 8/6: Dr Disrespect has been live for over an hour, but has not yet appeared on the stream. He then tweeted out "Tomorrow, we arrive." hinting that he would not appear today at all, though the stream continues on with a mix of music, ambient noise, and random parody news segments about his stream, ban, and future content. 

UPDATED 8/7: Dr Disrespect went live on YouTube at 1 PST, ending his 24 hour music loop and introducing his new Champions Club on YouTube with a highlight reel of former streams. He then cut into a segment of him sitting in a virtual 1990 Lamborghini that he "drove" to his arena. "It's going to be a learning thing today, I have no idea how to work this YouTube," he said of the new platform. "The amount of love over the course of the past month and a half since I last streamed has been amazing," he said to the 500,000 people watching. "In regards to the ban, a lot of people want to know what happened... I want you to look me in my eyes when I say this. We still have no idea."

"As far as I'm concerned, we didn't do anything to warrant a ban, let alone how they went about banning us. No communication before, no reaching out, nothing. Boom. Done. The problem is too, there are people in the community that are anxious for an answer, so what that does is it creates a level of urgency and speculation... That's the last thing I'm going to say about it, and I have to be intelligent about all of this. You're talking about a heavy contract with lots of money... There's big money involved, so let the legal professionals do what they need to do. That's it, period. My conscious, it feels so good... So that's your update."
