LA Valiant Defeats NYXL to Become Stage 4 Champions

Battling over a $125,000.00 prize pool and the Stage 4 Championship, NYXL and LA Valiant battled through LA Gladiators and Dallas Fuel to meet each other in the title match.  Despite LA Valiant's impressive stage 4 records, many OWL fans still thought that NYXL were the favorites to win the match.

Was NYXL sandbagging? Is it true that NYXL barely scrimmed throughout the entire stage? Whatever the case, they seemed wholly unprepared for LA Valiants confident level of play. On three of the four maps played, NYXL didn't score a single point. Hae-seong "Libero" Kim, normally one of NYXL's strongest players, had an uncharacteristic sloppiness to his play defined by missed shots and avoidable deaths while playing Phara.

On the contrary, Indy "SPACE" Halpern and Terence "SoOn" Tarlier of LA Valiant had amazing performances this Sunday, with SPACE earning the MVP of the winning match. His tenacious D.va hunted down supports, peeled for his team, and was seemingly everywhere at all times, bailing Valiant out of many sticky situations. SoOn on Widowmaker was equally as lethal, showing incredible improvement on the sniper and rightfully earning regard as one of the current best Widowmakers in the League.

With this victory, LA Valiant has earned a $100,000  bonus. New York will take home a $25,000 USD
