19th May, The inaugural event,  "Girls in Gaming" presented by Microsoft held in Microsoft Lounge, Culver City, CA. As part of the “Be Valiant” series of events, this event is focused on community engagement and inclusion.

The summit featured panel chats with prominent women in gaming, Ann Hand, Chairman & CEO of amateur Esports platform, Super League Gaming, Alice White Vice President, Global Talent Acquisition at Blizzard Entertainment, Nicole Fawcette, Sr. Brand Manager, Gears of War & Women in Gaming Co-Lead at Xbox, and Catarina Macedo, Program Manager at Xbox, etc.

Panel topics include “A Conversation With Esports Professionals”, “Championing Change from Industry Behemoths to First Time Streamers” and “Next Steps and Action Items To A Healthy Industry.” There were approximately one hundred persons to join this summit and shared their experiences and ideas to make better circumstances for women in the Gaming industry.
