Overwatch’s new seasonal event, Halloween Terror 2017 has started on October 10th. Players can purchase Halloween Terror Loot Boxes and enjoy the new PvE games: Junkenstein’s Revenge and Junkenstein’s Revenge: Endless Night.
Halloween Terror Loot Boxes contain new Halloween skins, highlight intros, and emotes. Just like the Summer Games event, last year’s Halloween collectibles are unlockable with a ⅓ price.
Along with the skins, Junkenstein’s Revenge is also back. Junkenstein’s Revenge was first introduced last year’s Halloween and was very popular with players since it was the very first PvE mode in Overwatch. Players must pick one hero among the Soldier (Soldier 76), the Gunslinger (McCree), the Archer (Hanzo), and the Alchemist (Ana) and defend the castle from waves of monsters. There are four difficulty levels: Normal, Hard, Expert, and Legendary. Each difficulty level will give Achievement rewards.
Junkenstein’s Revenge: Endless Night is a new arcade mode added this year. In Junkenstein’s Revenge; Endless Night, players can also pick Genji, Torbjorn, Widowmaker, and Zenyatta, in addition to the original four heroes. Players must defend the castle from Dr. Junkenstein’s minions that come in total of 12 waves. However, as the game’s title suggests, the game does not end even when players defend all 12 waves. Players can earn extra points after the 12th wave, and the game continues until the castle is destroyed.
Junkenstein’s Revenge and Junkenstein’s Revenge: Endless Night will be available for 3 weeks.
