Over the past two months, Scott "Custa" Kennedy has been regularly streaming pro-level Overwatch on his channel, twitch.tv/custaa. The flex-support player for Arc6 showcases disciplined support tactics and gives viewers an inside look of how an organized team communications and executes strategy.

Listening in on team comms is a great way to learn about Overwatch, so any aspiring support mains should take a listen. In the clip below, take note of Custa's clutch Sleep Dart on a flanking enemy and how he takes over the comms channel to inform his team. The effective communication makes the play clean and precise.

However, communication isn't always flawless. In the clip below, an otherwise effective hold is made less so as Custa's Soldier: 76 ally over comms says "not now, not now" In response to being asked if he needs Ana's Nano boost. In the heat of battle, that answer is easily misunderstood as "now, now" which causes the ineffective Nano boost. 

It's moments like these that make Custa's stream enjoyable as well as educational. Hearing an organized match from the perspective of the support player highlights how important communication and positioning is. For example, Custa is reliably accurate with Ana's heals, but he is aided by his teammates knowing his sight lines and retreating back into them whenever they need healing. The same can be said when Custa plays Zenyatta, as his ultimate usage is made more effective by communicating with his team before hand.
