Doomfist has exploded into Overwatch and players are hard at work in the PTR trying to push his abilities to their limits. One of the most remarkable things players have discovered about Doomfist is his extraordinary mobility options. With a little creativity (and some bravery) players have been able to whizz through the air and reach key map locations with incredible speed.
Here are 7 of our favorite moments of Doomfist mobility madness.
1. Surfing the rooftops with style on Nepal.
Doomfist knows how to get around, and what better way than punching your way over some tiled roofs. Unconventional as it is, it certainly is effective. Eat your heart out, Winston.
2. I’m not sure that’s how punching a wall should work.
I mean, seriously. That’s not how that should work at all, right? Doomfist cares not for your petty laws of nature. His momentum stops when he commands it.
3. Doomfist can come from anywhere at any time.
Great, so he can fly as well and all it takes is a few well-timed punches. As if the Nigerian with the giant fist wasn’t scary enough, he can punch his way around paths that only Pharah would dare traverse before.
4. Using debris as a makeshift ramp? Why not.
With the right angle and enough speed, Doomfist can catch some serious air. Let’s take this time to remember that he’s an enormous, monster of a man and video games are sometimes ridiculous.
5. The first point of Hollywood is dangerous, let’s just go over it.
If you’re a Widowmaker main, seeing this probably doesn’t exactly fill you with comfort. Why bother pushing through a choke point when you can just fly straight over it, right into the crow’s nest. Will Doomfist define the dive meta or put an end to it?
6. Eichenwalde is incredibly springy for a stone castle.
How punching a deactivated robot next to a stone wall launches Doomfist so far forward, we may never know. What we do know, however, is that he can cross a map like it’s nothing and we should all be afraid.
7. Thankfully, his mobility can work against him.
Even when it bugs out completely and sends you on a one way trip to the graveyard, Doomfist’s mobility still manages to be incredibly impressive. Few other heroes can boast higher flights, longer leaps, or more flashy suicides.
