Top Teamfight Tactics Players to Compete for $150K at Into the Arcane Tournament

The competitive scene of Teamfight Tactics (TFT) is gearing up for its latest high-stakes event, the "Into the Arcane Tactician’s Crown," scheduled to take place from March 14 to 16. Following the release of TFT’s newest set, Into the Arcane, at the TFT Macao Open in December, the tournament aims to crown the next champion among the game’s elite players.

The event will bring together the top 40 competitors from four major regions: Asia-Pacific (APAC), China (CN), Americas (AMER), and Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). These players will battle across three intense days for a grand prize of $150,000 USD, part of a total prize pool of $470,000 USD.

Participants are selected based on their performance in regional qualifiers. The APAC region will feature 12 players, including an additional slot for the Tactician’s Crown winner and regional performance. China will be represented by 10 players, while both the Americas and EMEA regions will each have 9 competitors, with extra slots awarded based on regional performance metrics.

The tournament structure is designed to test the players’ strategic prowess and adaptability. On the first day, all 40 participants will engage in six games across five lobbies, with the lowest eight performers being eliminated. Day two will see the remaining 32 players retain their points as they compete in progressively challenging rounds, narrowing the field down to the top eight who will advance to the Grand Final.

The Grand Final will employ a Checkmate format, where the first player to accumulate 20 points and secure a first-place finish will be declared the champion. This decisive format promises thrilling matches as players vie for the top spot.

Starting with Set 14, future Tactician’s Crown events will determine regional performance slots based on the cumulative points of the top four players from each pan-region after the second day of competition. This adjustment aims to ensure a balanced representation of talent across all regions in subsequent tournaments.

Teamfight Tactics, developed by Riot Games, has solidified its position as a leading title in the auto battler genre since its launch in 2019. The game challenges players to strategically place champions from the League of Legends universe on a grid-based battlefield, combining tactics and adaptability to outlast opponents.

TFT Esports continues to expand its competitive offerings with events like the Tactician’s Crown and the annual TFT Open, which attracts over 500 participants in a high-energy LAN tournament setting. These events provide a platform for players worldwide to showcase their skills and compete for substantial rewards.
