The LDLC Arena in Lyon - Décines is set to host two of esports’ premier global events this September, as the Fortnite Global Championship 2025 and the Rocket League World Championship 2025 arrive in back-to-back weekends.
The Fortnite Global Championship, slated for Sept. 6-7, will feature 33 top trios from across the globe vying for a portion of a $2 million prize pool. The tournament, a highlight in the cultural phenomenon that is Fortnite Battle Royale, returns following last year’s event held at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas, where teams including Peterbot and Pollo secured top honors and substantial winnings.

The Rocket League World Championship will follow from Sept. 9-14. The event marks the season’s climax for the Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS) and will see 20 international teams compete for the title and a share of a $1.2 million prize pool. Notably, this is the first time the Rocket League World Championship will be hosted in France, a nation that has produced seven world champions since 2022.
Ticket details for both championships are expected to be announced next week via the Fortnite Competitive and Rocket League Esports social channels.
