Last November, LCK’s stove league was on fire. Fans expected Hanwha Life Esports to set the fire on the stove, but the organization had different thoughts. Instead of signing with the star players, Hanwha Life Esports completed a young roster with an average age of 20 for the future.
In the 2021 LCK Awards, a player from each role was selected as Players of the Year. The recipients were DWG KIA top laner Kim “Khan” Dong-ha, DWG KIA jungler Kim “Canyon” Geon-bu, DWG KIA mid laner Heo “ShowMaker” Su, Gen.G bot laner Park “Ruler” Jae-hyuk, and T1 support Ryu “Keria” Min-seok.

On Dec. 7, Hanwha Life Esports announced their 2022 LCK roster to be Lee "DuDu" Dong-ju, Kim "Willer" Jeong-hyeon, Kim "OnFleek" Jang-gyeom, Kim "Karis" Hong-jo, Lee "SamD" Jae-hoon, and Oh "Vsta" Hyo-seong. In their tweet, they said "As the first year of creating a sustainable, strong team that can grow further in the long run, we ask for your support in the 2022 season of HLE."
On Dec. 3, DWG KIA announced that they have signed with former top laner Kim "Khan" Dong-ha as a co -streamer. In their announcement, they said "DWG KIA with Khan will do our best to make various contents and communicate with fans. Please give big support and interest to Khan, who is going to have a new beginning."
On Dec. 3, T1 officially announced that they have re-sigened Choi "Polt" Seong-hun as general mamanger and head coach, and Kim "Moment" Ji-hwan. T1 also announced that Bae "Bengi" Seong-woong will re-join T1 as coach.
On Dec. 3, T1 announced that they have re-signed with jungler Moon "Oner" Hyeon-joon and bot laner Lee "Gumayusi" Min-hyeong and called up support Kim "Asper" Tae-gi from Challengers team to complete a 6-man roster for the 2022 season with top laner Choi "Zeus" Woo-je, mid laner Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok, and support Ryu "Keria" Min-seok.
On November 19, KT Rolster announced that they signed a 2-year deal with jungler Moon "Cuzz" Woo-chan and bot laner Kim "Aiming" Ha-ram.

In an interview with Inven, Riot Korea made a statement regarding Kim "Canna" Chang-dong's transfer. They said "the agency proved that T1 gave them the permission to make negotiations, so LCK advised T1 to fulfill the promise."
