If you saw TSM's tweet earlier this morning, your heart was not the only one pounding. In the middle of the swarm of League of Legends Worlds Championship tweets - specifically about Cloud 9 being clapped by G2, one ominous-sounding tweet got our attention.

TSM fans were speculating if the team had really let go of Soren “Bjergsen” Bjerg, while others had a feeling we were falling for a trap. Fans speculated the real meaning behind "Thank you, @Bjergsen".

Shortly after, TSM tweeted the following: "Thank you, @Bjergsen" --for re-signing! :D"

The player extended his contract with Team SoloMid and became a player-owner. Bjerg told The Washington Post in an exclusive interview. “I knew I wanted to continue to work with TSM and add value to the company,” followed by “This move means that I can continue to not only represent TSM as a player, but also be a part of the entire organization as we strive to achieve new heights in gaming, media and tech.”

According to the interview, Bjergsen had to closely set up details with Riot Games over the course of a year, working on rules and guidelines. The player is in a unique position as most Player-Owners start a team from scratch, instead of partially owning a team they play for. Bjerg said Andy “Reginald” Dinh, who was the first mid-laner for TSM, and one of the first player-owners in LoLs esports,  Andy “Reginald” Dinh approached him to be a part-owner. 

“It felt like a natural progression in my relationship with TSM," Bjerg said.
