At long last, Riot Games has released the official song for the 2019 League of Legends World Championship. "Phoenix" was written, recorded, and produced by the League of Legends music team at Riot Games in tandem with Callin Russo and Chrissy Costanza.
Phoenix features a tempo similar to the Worlds 2018 song, "Rise", but remains far more delicate than last year's powerhouse anthem and thrives in its dynamics, the depth of which is aided by lush synthesizers and warm, immersive low-end tones.
Russo is an American model and musician, and is most well-known for her work in music videos of pop musician Justin Bieber. Chrissy Costanza is the primary songwriter and lead vocalist of Against The Current, a band from Poughkeepsie, New York that formed in 2011. Costanza, in addition to her success as a musical artist, also has her own youtube channel.
Phoenix is currently available on Apple Music. The 2019 World Championship Play-In Knockout stage concludes today [October 8th], and the Main Event will kick off with the Group Stage on Saturday, October 12th.
