Riot Games announced today that League of Legends’ 10th Anniversary (October 15), will have events and a stream to celebrate
A special edition of Riot Pls will start at 6 p.m. PDT on Oct. 15, featuring news, a look at LoL's past, 2020 pre-season changes and a preview of Teamfight Tactics’ next big update, paving the way of the series' future.
“Together, we’ve built a thriving community around the world, and we want to show our appreciation for all of you. If you’re not able to catch the celebration on October 15th, don’t worry. We’ll rebroadcast the livestream throughout the following day,” Riot Games said in a blog post.
The announcement also notes that there will be events to celebrate the anniversary, though details have yet to be announced. We are hoping to see some cool skins!
Aside from the title turning 10, in a press release, Riot Games revealed that League of Legends has roughly 8 million peak concurrent players logging in everyday. Considering the daily average of players is much higher than that, it makes League the most popular game in the world. No one is shocked.
