Mateus "Portilho" Portilho is the man behind the memes at Cloud9 HQ. The Social Media Manager first got his start with Immortals when the organization was part of the NA LCS. Portilho then accepted a job with Cloud9 to run the social media accounts for Overwatch League franchise London Spitfire. Portilho has now moved to working with the Cloud9 brand full-time with fellow Social Media Manager Emily "Alyeska" Gonzalez-Holland and a few part-time employees. 

Portilho spoke at the 2019 Inven Global Esports Conference to discuss building and maintaining a brand in the big picture while simultaneously remaining consistent in the day-to-day tasks of a social media manager. 

A few weeks after IGEC 2019, Inven Global's Lara Lunardi sat down with Portilho for a full Portuguese interview. The discussion centered around moving from Brazil to the United States to pursue a career in esports, the cultural differences between both countries and how it affects competition, and the key steps to getting a social media career off the ground.
