Riot Games opens bidding for an LCK partnership... SK Telecom
The 3 Korean telecommunication service providers, KT, LG, and SKT attended the bidding for an LCK partnership with Riot games last March. And finally, they announced the results; SK Telecom joins forces for a strategic partnership with Riot.
With this partnership, SKT will now be the official sponsor for the LCK until 2020 and will receive exclusive rights to create VR/AR contents using the LCK's intellectual properties. It is also told that this partnership includes not only the LCK but broadcasting rights for other LoL international tournaments. Starting from this 2019 LCK Spring Finals held on the 13th, SK Telecom will broadcast LoL esports on their OTT service,
For the fans, Riot Games are planning to provide a multi-view source that features players' personal in-game screen. Now people can choose to watch the games from the players' point of view.
