It seems that the name of KSV Esports (CEO: Kevin Chou) may be changed to Gen.G Esports.

On the 3rd of May (KST), KSV changed their official facebook page to @GenGesports and their League of Legends team’s facebook page has also been changed to @GenGLoL. The name of their League of Legends team has also been changed to “Gen.G LOL”.

When this change was noticed by fans, they became confused; many questioned the new name, asking “Was the official page hacked?” or commenting “Why Gen.G? It feels like Genji from Overwatch.”

KSV was short for Korea – Silicon Valley and it signified a combination between the capital and technology of Silicon Valley and the talents of Korea. There has been no official announcement regarding this issue, but it seems that the team isn’t being sold to another company.

Added: The team names in the IDs of KSV players have been changed to GenG. KSV will be making an announcement regarding this issue on the 4th of May (KST).
