On the 11th of March, in the 2018 LCK Spring Split, Kingzone DragonX (KZ) defeated bbq Olivers 2-0 and secured the 1st place spot. In today’s match, Kim “Khan” Dong-ha played Gangplank and Camille to carry the team to victory.
The following is the interview with Khan.
Q. You won and maintained your position at 1st. Now your magic number is 3. How do you feel?
Today’s match was the revenge match of Round 1. I’m happy that we won 2-0. I think we’ll have a lighter mind approaching the next match.
Q. You had a hard time in game 1 at top lane.
Noramlly, Gangplank has a hard time against Gnar. I didn’t have a good start, but I wasn’t completely ruined, so I just trusted my teammates and did my best.
Q. When were you sure that you won in game 1?
When Bdd cut off the opponents using his ult, I thought the we could win, and when we killed Baron, I was sure.
Q. In game 2, there were many big and small fights. How was it?
Our team is quite aggressive and confident, so we had enough excuses to fight. Everybody thought that it was alright so we kept on calling for fights.
Q. Peanut played Nidalee in game 2. Was he confident?
He said it wasn’t a bad situation to play Nidalee. He is quite confident at playing her, so he plays aggressively.
Q. In the 8.4 update, Gangplank has been nerfed, but still is appearing a lot. How do you think about Gangplank?
He’s not as good to pick first, but is still good if picked later. Gangplank was abnormally good before, even after the nerf, he’s still good enough.
Q. Who do you think is the best champions at top lane?
I think the current top lane 1 tier champions are Camille, Gnar and Sion.
Q. Your next opponent is ROX Tigers. How will you prepare the match?
Whoever the opponent is, the confidence to win is important. We won’t be careless and do our best to deliver good performance. We’ll do our best to win all the remaining matches.
