AFs KurO welcomes KT Smeb's challenge...once Smeb gets better at SoloQ.
On July 18th (KST), Afreeca Freecs had a close win against bbq Olivers with a record of 2-1 in the second match of 2017 LCK Summer Split Day 31. The sole leader of MVP Point leadership, Seohaeng "KurO" Lee, was not named MVP today, but he still showed a solid performance throughout the day.
Here is our interview with Seohaeng "KurO" Lee.
Congratulations on your hard-earned victory. How do you feel right now?
I'm glad that we've defeated bbq. We could have done better than 2-1, but a win is a win.
The team's early game wasn't very good today. What was the problem?
The problem [in Game 1] was being ganked by their Elise. We kept losing initiative and couldn't really make our plays.
You are finally close to being among the top teams. How has the journey been until now?
It has always been difficult; the Spring Split, first half of Summer Split and even now. I think the
If we do well enough, we might end up among the top three.
There were multiple delays due to problems with skins. What actually happened?
The tournament client had some issues with skins as they were not chosen correctly. Playing with desired skins are actually very important for players as different skins change many aspects of playing experience, including hit feedback. I hope they fix it soon.
You've been getting praises on how you are playing much better than before. Do you agree?
I think I got better. (Laughs) I'm not just talking about being first in the MVP point race; there are other signs that I can consider as being positive changes. I definitely got better.
Thank you for the interview. Do you have anything else that you want to share?
KT Smeb keeps bothering me by saying things like he will take my place in the MVP point leaderboard. Well, as far as I know, he is in Master Tier right now, so I think it'll be very difficult for him to do that. Being on Master Tier is just not good enough. (Laughs)
