DRX, T1 Streaks Halted as Gen.G Clinches Playoffs and Boom Esports Leads Group

Korean teams DRX and T1 saw their unbeaten runs halted in Week 4 of the Valorant Champions Tour Pacific Stage 1, complicating their quests to claim sole top spots in their groups. At the Sangam SOOP Colosseum in Seoul, the upset losses reshuffled group standings, while Gen.G secured a playoff berth with a three-match winning streak.

DRX’s winning momentum ended on Saturday when they dropped a closely contested match to Boom Esports. The match saw DRX, already missing a key roster player due to personal reasons, struggle to maintain consistency over three sets. Despite an effort to extend one set into overtime, DRX faltered in the latter stages of the contest. Boom Esports, capitalizing on DRX’s lapses, secured the win and confirmed their position as leaders in Group Alpha.

Meanwhile, in the Omega Group, T1’s undefeated record was compromised on Sunday by a resilient performance from RRQ. T1 started strong, capturing the first set with standout individual play, but lost their momentum in subsequent rounds. After an evenly poised first half in the second set, T1’s performance declined markedly, and the team ultimately fell behind by a single set-point deficit. Even after briefly holding a lead on the map Lotus, T1 was unable to recover, which left them trailing behind group leader RRQ.

Gen.G, riding a steady three-win streak, not only improved their record to 3–1 but also built a gap over lower-ranked teams in the Group Alpha. This performance guarantees them a playoff appearance and further intensifies the competition for the top seed.

As Week 4 concludes, the shifting standings highlight the tournament’s unpredictable nature. With decisive matchups still ahead, teams continue to battle for group superiority in what promises to be a fiercely competitive stage of Valorant esports.
