Hero Esports Adds Legend Cup to Asian Champions League, Expanding League of Legends Spotlight

Hero Esports announced today that the Legend Cup, a major League of Legends tournament, will be added to the inaugural lineup of the HERO ESPORTS Asian Champions League (ACL). The ACL, Asia's premier international esports competition, now expands to include League of Legends alongside previously announced games such as CS2, Dota 2, Honor of Kings, Teamfight Tactics, VALORANT Champions Tour, Delta Force, and Crossfire.

The Legend Cup, hosted by streaming platform Huya, is distinguished by its participation of retired professional League of Legends players. The competition aims not only to deliver significant prizes and recognition to competing teams but also to foster community engagement and bolster interactions among the game's enthusiasts and veteran competitors.

League of Legends, developed by Riot Games and launched in 2009, continues to hold a prominent position in the MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) genre, maintaining a massive and dedicated global following.

The collaboration between Hero Esports and Huya for the Legend Cup intends to enrich the experience for League of Legends fans across Asia. Specific details regarding the tournament’s format, schedule, and prize distribution will be released in the coming weeks.

Established in 2016 and headquartered in Shanghai, Hero Esports has rapidly grown into Asia’s largest esports organization, producing more than 7,000 matches annually and engaging over 800 million online viewers. Hero Esports manages esports events, marketing, and community initiatives from twelve global offices and operates eight high-capacity esports arenas.

Hero Esports' notable partnerships include investors Tencent and Savvy Games Group, as well as strategic collaborations with major streaming services Huya and Kuaishou.
