Red Bull’s “League of Its Own,” a unique League of Legends competition, will return Dec. 15 to the Accor Arena in Paris, featuring multiple top-tier teams and a debut appearance by a star-powered new roster.
The event’s main draw is T1, the South Korean powerhouse led by veteran mid laner Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok. After falling to G2 Esports in last year’s final in Berlin, T1 will face a field that includes Karmine Corp, Gentle Mates, NNO Old, and G2. The tournament also marks the in-person competitive debut of Los Ratones, a streamer-led squad captained by popular broadcaster Marc “Caedrel” Lamont.
Organizers expect more than 15,000 fans in attendance, with thousands more following the action online. This year’s format promises a fast-paced schedule, surprise role swaps and marquee matchups between esports rivals. An additional 1-on-1 showmatch, backed by Opel, is set to provide a mid-event highlight.
Viewers worldwide can watch on Red Bull Gaming’s YouTube and Twitch channels, starting at 3 p.m. CET. Notable on-air talent includes Arif “Doigby” Akin and Aaron “Medic” Chamberlain as hosts, with Dan “Aux” Harrison, Robert “Dagda” Price, Daniel “Drakos” Drakos and Joseph “Munchables” Fenny handling commentary. On-site co-streamers, such as Kamet0, Gotaga, Caedrel and NNO Old, will also offer alternative broadcasts.
