Riot Games and Virgin Music Group have officially revealed the star-studded lineup of artists contributing to the highly anticipated Arcane: League of Legends Season 2 soundtrack. The Emmy-winning animated series, based on Riot Games' globally renowned video game League of Legends, features exclusive tracks from a diverse group of musicians including Twenty One Pilots, Stray Kids, Ashnikko, Stromae, Marcus King, d4vd, and more. Each song has been uniquely composed to complement pivotal moments in the show, which is set to return to Netflix in November 2024.

The new soundtrack builds on the massive success of the Arcane Season 1 soundtrack, whose theme song, “Enemy” by Imagine Dragons, became a global hit, topping charts and amassing over 5.6 billion streams. With Arcane’s return, the Season 2 soundtrack is poised to captivate a wider audience, continuing the series’ trend of blending music with storytelling.

“Arcane’s groundbreaking approach to music inspired an incredibly diverse group of artists from many genres, languages, and cultures who wanted to be part of this new season,” said Maria Egan, Global Head of Music at Riot Games. “We also wanted to represent the global reach of League of Legends by working with artists from all around the world. Each song was a unique collaboration between the artists, our showrunners, and Riot’s composers. Music is the heartbeat of the League community, and we can’t wait for our fans to experience this epic album to deepen their connection to these powerful stories.”

The soundtrack features a wide array of genres and styles, with artists from across the globe. “I found myself inspired by Season 1 and how the idea of family sits at the center of the story,” said Tyler Joseph of Twenty One Pilots. “Music really helped bring that theme to life within the world of Arcane.” Stray Kids, who contributed the track “Come Play,” shared their excitement: “We’re passionate about Arcane and League of Legends. Our single brings all sorts of voices and languages together, and we’re excited for fans to hear it.”

The first single from the soundtrack, “Paint The Town Blue” by Ashnikko, was released on September 5, alongside the trailer for Season 2. Fans can stream the track across all major platforms. The full soundtrack, Arcane: League of Legends Season 2 (Soundtrack from the Animated Series), promises to deliver another unforgettable musical experience with original tracks from Freya Ridings, Stefflon Don, Fever 333, Woodkid, and more.
