Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok shared his thoughts on earning his 2,500 kill in the LCK.
On day 32 of the 2022 LCK Spring split, T1 took a clean 2-0 victory against Gen.G. Although Park “Ruler” Jae-hyuk was absent due to COVID, T1 proved that the gap between them and Gen.G was insurmountable.
Faker was selected as the Player of the Game in game 1. In the broadcast interview with announcer Lee Jeong-hyeon, he shared that he wants to “Keep going until I get 3,000 kills.” He then shared, “When I got my 2,000th kill, I lost on Zoe. This time, however, I was able to hit the milestone and also win the match, so I’m really happy how it turned out.”
When asked about how T1 dealt with Gen.G’s late-game poke composition with Corki-Ziggs, he stated, “I thought about ending the game before Corki became really strong. Also, we were confident in our own poke game, so I didn’t feel too rushed to finish the game.”
T1’s next opponents are KT Rolster. If T1 takes the victory over KT, that means that they tie their own record of 14-0, which was set in 2015.
Faker closed the interview by saying, “My teammates and coaches are all doing really well, so I’m very optimistic about the results. I’d love to set a new record, but even if we don’t, we’ll play with the mindset of raising our performance level to its fullest.”
