There are many cards in Legends of Runeterra, and each have their own stats and effects to make them unique. It can be overwhelming, especially if you’re new to the card game genre, to learn all these effects. That’s why we’re dissecting all the keywords in a series of guides. In this one we’re taking a look at Enlightened.
No, Enlightened has nothing to do with any type of zen state in Legends of Runeterra. It simply means that you have reached ten mana, the maximum regular amount possible. Enlightened does not take into account any spell mana you may have saved up from the previous round, so if you have eight regular mana and two spell mana, you won’t be Enlightened.
The effects Enlightened has differ, but they all come down to being a reward for holding on for that long. If you want to accelerate your mana gain (also known as ‘ramping up’) to get Enlightened faster, cards like Wyrding Stones and Catalyst of Aeons are a good inclusion.
