LoL Pro-Gamers Talk about the Esports Scene, Min-kii “MadLife” Hong and Sang-myun “shy” Park will join as speakers at the IGEC

Two 1st-gen League of Legends (LoL) pro gamers - Min-ki "MadLife" Hong and Sang-myun "shy" Park - will stand on the stage as speakers at the first Inven Global Esports Conference (IGEC).


MadLlife debuted as a LoL pro gamer in 2011, and was a member of Azubu Frost. He claimed 2nd place in the 2012 LoL World Championship, which attracted many Korean LoL Esports fans. Moreover, he carried the game as support, the least flashy role in the game, which earned him many international fans. He also received a significant amount of votes and was picked to become one of the Korean team members for the LoL All-Star from 2013 to 2016. After being a member of Gold Coin United, the LoL pro team in NA, in 2017, he halted his pro gaming career temporarily and is now a personal streamer as well as a guest commentator.


shy debuted as a top laner for Azubu Frost in 2012. He led the team to 2nd place at the 2012 LoL World Championship with MadLife, and proved the power of Korean pro gamers by performing at various international leagues afterwards. shy later announced his retirement after Rox Tigers in 2017. These two players had been in the same team for about 5 years, and they remain an inspiration for pro gamers today.


MadLife and shy will give a presentation about Esports based on their experiences as pro gamers at the IGEC. The first IGEC is a place for eastern and western Esports experts to share their insight and knowledge about the Esports industry, and is planned to take place at the University of California - Irvine on May 1st.


The first IGEC is planned to take place at the UCI for one day from 10:00 to 17:00 on May 1st, and more details about presentations, ticket pricing, and relevant events will be updated on the IGEC homepage.
