The 2025 LCK Regular Season kicks off with an action-packed Week 1 schedule that promises intense matchups and historic milestones. Gen.G will open their campaign with back-to-back games against top contenders, starting with a clash against Hanwha Life Esports on April 2 before facing T1 later in the week. The revamped league format, which now features a single-season schedule from March through September and the implementation of the Fearless Draft system, adds a fresh layer of strategy and excitement to the competition.

Gen.G enters Week 1 looking to rebound from recent setbacks, particularly following a runner-up finish against Hanwha Life Esports in the LCK Cup final. The team aims to tighten their coordination and overcome a recent string of disappointments as they face a squad that has proven its strength by securing consecutive wins in recent high-stakes finals. Hanwha Life Esports, fresh off an undefeated run in the new international tournament First Stand, carry the momentum of being widely regarded as title contenders.

Meanwhile, T1’s mid laner Faker edges closer to a historic milestone. With nearly 1,000 games under his belt since his debut in 2013, Faker is on track to become the first player in LCK history to reach this mark. His achievement comes as part of a decorated career highlighted by multiple World Championship titles and a record run of consecutive wins.

T1 is set to take on DRX on April 4, with their subsequent match against Gen.G on April 6. Live broadcasts of all matches will stream on popular platforms such as the YouTube LCK channel, SOOP, and Naver Esports & Games, ensuring that fans around the world have access to the season’s opening battles as the league embarks on its journey toward crowning a champion.
