Riot Games Announces Teamfight Tactics Paris Open Set for December 2025

Riot Games announced today that the Teamfight Tactics (TFT) Paris Open will take place in December 2025, marking the game’s largest competitive and community event’s return to Europe. The news comes on the eve of the TFT Macao Open, which is currently drawing crowds of competitors and spectators eager to watch the second iteration of this annual tournament series.

 

The Paris Open will be the year’s final TFT competition, featuring an open bracket format that allows players to purchase competitor slots. This approach debuted during the first event, the TFT Vegas Open in 2023, and continues at the TFT Macao Open, where passes to the 512-player field sold out in minutes as more than 2,000 people attempted to secure a spot.

 

In addition to the main competition, the TFT Paris Open will offer panels with developers, meet-and-greet opportunities with community members, exclusive merchandise, and other activities for both players and fans. The European region saw a strong showing during the Vegas Open’s inaugural event, with four European players reaching the final table of eight. French competitor Emre “Double61” Demirtas finished in fifth place that year.

 

 

Riot has a history of bringing premier tournaments to Paris, which previously hosted the League of Legends Worlds finals in 2019 and the Worlds semifinals in 2024. Michael Sherman, Global Head of Esports for TFT and 2XKO, emphasized the city’s significance: “We’re excited to bring our biggest esports event of the year to Paris. It’s a city that has a rich history of hosting both Riot competitions and major sporting events so it was a natural choice to be the host city for our first TFT Open in Europe. We have tons of talented competitive players across Europe and are looking forward to seeing them compete at the TFT Paris Open closer to home.”
