Riot Games has announced "Teamfight Tactics: Into the Arcane," the newest set for its auto-battler game, during the global broadcast of the Magic n’ Mayhem Tactician’s Crown Finals. Scheduled to hit the Public Beta Environment (PBE) on November 11 and officially launch on November 20, the set will be free to play on both PC and mobile platforms.

"Into the Arcane" immerses players in the world of the animated series "Arcane," introducing 11 exclusive champions from the show. Fans can expect to see familiar faces like Silco return, alongside new additions such as Powder, Violet, Vander, Sevika, Smeech, Renni, Maddie, Loras, Steb, and Scar.

The set also brings new traits inspired by "Arcane," including:

  • Enforcer: Units start combat with shields and deal amplified damage. The highest-health enemy units become "Wanted," granting attack speed boosts upon their defeat.

  • Chem-Baron: Players gain "Shimmer" after each combat, with increased rewards during a loss streak. Collecting Shimmer allows access to the Black Market for powerful illegal items.

  • Academy: Sponsored items provide bonuses to maximum health and damage amplification, doubled for Academy units.

  • Firelight: Firelights dash every six seconds, attacking with infinite range and healing based on damage taken.

  • Family: Family members support each other by reducing maximum mana and enhancing bonuses.

A key feature of the new set is "The Anomaly," a mechanic that lets players reroll bonuses to permanently transform one champion per game. With over 50 Anomaly effects available at launch, players will face crucial decisions that can significantly impact their endgame strategies.

"From the beginning, our goal was to deliver a fresh and immersive experience for players, blending strategic gameplay with the rich storytelling of Arcane," said Shawn Elizabeth Main, Lead Set Designer for "Teamfight Tactics: Into the Arcane." "Players now have the tools to experiment and tinker with their dream comps, creating scenarios never before seen in the world of Arcane."

The set introduces over 100 new augments, including "Team-Up Augments," which unlock unique traits when specific champions are fielded together. A nod to the previous Arcane set, pairing Vi and Jinx activates the "Sisters" trait, enhancing their abilities through chain takedowns.

Cosmetic additions include new Chibi characters like Firelight Ekko, Arcane Vi, Arcane Caitlyn, and Prestige Arcane Superfan Annie. A Last Drop-inspired Mythic Arena will also debut, transforming twice during gameplay to showcase Jinx's journey from the first season of "Arcane." The set will feature "Unbound Tacticians," a new cosmetic category highlighting champions at their peak power, starting with Arcane Jinx Unbound.

"We're so thrilled for TFT and Arcane fans to experience 'Into the Arcane,'" said Peter Whalen, Game Director for "Teamfight Tactics." "The team pored over every facet of this set to make sure we captured the essence of the show for players who want to create their own versions of the story in each and every game. No two stories will be the same, and we can't wait to see what players will cook up."

In addition to the in-game content, Riot Games announced the TFT Macao Open, an open-bracket tournament taking place from December 6-8 at the Venetian Macao. The event will host 512 competitors and feature Arcane-themed goods, side events, and activations.

"We worked hand-in-hand with teams across TFT, Arcane, and esports to make sure that players and fans would have a truly immersive Arcane experience at the event," said Michael Sherman, Director of TFT and 2XKO Esports. "The competition will be played on the new set just weeks after launch, and attendees will be able to enjoy Arcane-themed goods and activations. The biggest TFT community and competitive event of the year will be a true celebration of Arcane."

Tickets and additional information for the TFT Macao Open are available on the official website.

"Teamfight Tactics: Into the Arcane" aims to allow players to replay and rewrite the plot of "Arcane" or craft their own stories within the game. With its official launch on November 20, players will soon be able to dive into this new experience.
