Team Spirit surged to the top in the opening weekend of the 2024 PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC), dominating Group Yellow's League Stage with 225 points and three first-place finishes.
After 24 high-stakes matches over four days, Team Spirit established a commanding 35-point lead over second-place finishers DRX and Alpha 7 Esports, who ended the weekend tied at 190 points each. Fan favorites Vampire Esports fell short of expectations, landing in the Survival Stage instead of securing a direct spot in the Grand Finals.
The competition saw several shifts in momentum. Major Pride kicked off day one with a 25-point victory in the first match, while Vampire Esports impressed with back-to-back wins in matches three and four. Day two witnessed South Korea's Miraen Sejong climb to first place with two wins and 109 points, as both Alpha 7 Esports and Vampire Esports slipped in the standings.
DRX made a strong comeback on day three with two victories, boosting them to second place. On the final day, Team Spirit solidified their lead, leaving DRX and Alpha 7 Esports tied for second and pushing Major Pride to fourth place by a narrow six-point margin.

The Group Red League Stage is set for November 7-10, featuring defending PMGC champions IHC Esports, Turkey's IW NRX, Saudi Arabia's Falcons Force, and renowned teams like FaZe Clan. Group Green will compete the following week, concluding the League Stage and determining the remaining teams for the Survival Stage.
