Activision Blizzard has released more information about the upcoming BlizzConline convention, happening Feb. 19-20, including the in-game goodies fans will be able to get by purchasing some of the so-called "Celebration Collections".
If you're asking "But I thought BlizzConline was free to watch?" — that's still the case. Unlike previous years, when only the opening ceremony was free and for everything else a virtual ticket was needed, BlizzConline will be open to all. Even if one is to miss a panel, all will be archived for on-demand, also free of charge.
Still, Blizzard is giving true fans an option to spend some cash and earn some goodies and this year, there are three BlizzConline Celebration Collections tiers. This is what they include:
Essentials Pack ($19.99)
- Moon-Touched Netherwhelp pet for World of Warcraft
- Tracer's OSV-03 Rogue mount with Tracer Hero for Heroes of the Storm
- Player icon and spray for Overwatch
- 5 loot boxes for Overwatch
- Portraits for StarCraft
- Pet and portrait for Diablo III
- 10 Madness at the Darkmoon Faire card packs for Hearthstone
- 15% single order discount for the Blizzard Gear Store
Heroic Pack ($39.99)
- Everything in the Essentials Pack
- Snowstorm bear mount for World of Warcraft
- A random legendary card from Madness at the Darkmoon Faire for Hearthstone
- Wings for Diablo III
Epic Pack ($59.99)
- Everything in the Heroic Pack
- 5 golden Madness at the Darkmoon Faire packs for Hearthstone
- 3 golden Loot Boxes for Overwatch, each with guaranteed legendary
- 30 days of WoW game time
- Set of Diablo III transmog items
There is never an official answer to this question until the convention goes live, but there are several high-profile franchises that fans will want to hear about. Overwatch 2 and Diablo IV are perhaps the biggest of them. Activision Blizzard has been dropping bits and pieces of Diablo IV development, but have stayed very silent on OW2.
Then, there's potentially something on Diablo 2 Remastered. Activision Blizzard recently assimilated Tony Hawk's Pro Skater developers Vicarious Visions into a Blizzard Support Studio, and rumor has it, that VV will be responsible for remastering the ARPG classic — a treatment its other two franchises, StarCraft and Warcraft, already received.
