Another organization makes their first foray into Heroes of the Storm as Team expert signs Too Bees Determined.
Team expert is the multinational esports division of Expert AG, a German-based trade company for consumer electronics, information technology, telecommunications, entertainment, and electrical appliances. The team is quite young, only opening its gates during Gamescom 2016, but has already fielded teams in FIFA, TrackMania, StarCraft II, and League of Legends. Their StarCraft II roster contains notable names like former Acer players Bly and Scarlett as well as the recent WCS world champion ByuN.
Too Bees Determined (TBD) is a dark horse team that has been quietly improving over the last six months. The team qualified for Gamescom last year as their first offline tournament together, and even though they were knocked out during the Group Stage, they turned some heads after nearly defeating Fnatic twice. There hasn’t been much competition since, but TBD’s flawless run through the first HGC qualifier has convinced critics that this roster might have what it takes after all.
It certainly convinced Team expert CEO Uwe “webmuGGle” Semtner. “[F]rom what I can sense from these players, we can go really far in competitions in the future,” he explained in a statement. “The start of the season can't come too soon for us, as we are ready to see how far we can go collectively."
Led by the drafting mastermind Adrian “adrd” Wojcik—often called the “mad scientist”—TBD tends to draft insane, off-meta compositions that surprise and confound their opponents. Their mechanics are nothing to scoff at either; carry players Dominic “Nic” Asal and Sebastian “bLaDe” Petraschke have been making names for themselves over the course of 2016. Tank player Benjamin “BadBenny” Eekenulv and support player Niklas “Cursen” Skogheim round out the roster for a solid overall mix.
The team will play in the European HGC Pro League, which starts in late January and continues until mid June.
