Today, Blizzard recently released the highly anticipated Blaze patch but with a sizeable number of changes thanks to the PTR a week before. Nova, Valeera, Hanzo, Samuro, Garrosh, and Zeratul were all given changes not previously seen in the PTR with the currently stronger of the bunch, Nova and Valeera, seeing sizeable nerfs.
In addition to these changes, the patch features big changes to Merc camps and structures. Blizzard developers cite the massive 2018 update and the unforeseen power of pushing strategies as reasons for the changes:
"We overestimated how much more powerful unlimited ammo would be for Structures, and as a result pushing mechanics have become too strong, resulting in lower game times on nearly all maps. We’re giving our towers some of their teeth back with this update, which should help teams hold pushes from Mercenary Camps and map events. We’re also making some tuning changes to some of our Mercenary Camps now that we have had some time to see how they have been performing."
Blaze was given a slight buff to his Bunker heroics HP but was otherwise released as is.
You can read the full patch notes here, but if you are eager to try out Blaze in the Nexus, why not check out the following gameplay video by resident Heroes pro McIntyre on Blaze and some of his most potential talent builds. It might make for easier roasting and toasting of your enemies this week.
