English news about the Langya Cup, a Chinese “training camp tournament” of sorts prior to the upcoming Netease Gold Club World Championship, has been scant at best. Thanks to Swoy and DogRay, however, I was able to piece together the information below.
All group stage matches will be Bo2s, with teams earning 3 points for a win, 1 for a draw, and 0 for a loss. The two top teams from each group will advance to Thursday's semifinals, which will be Bo3s. Only the grand final will be a Bo5.
Group A concluded yesterday with ZeroPanda and Ballistix advancing to the semifinals. ZeroPanda took first place in the group by defeating Ballistix in a Bo1 tiebreaker on Infernal Shrines.
