On Wednesday, December 4, Red Bull will celebrate the legacy of "Counter-Strike: Global Offensive" (CS:GO) with the global premiere of the highly anticipated documentary "Memories of CS:GO – The Final Years." Produced by the Emmy Award-winning Red Bull Media House, the feature-length film will debut on Red Bull Gaming's YouTube channel at 5 p.m. CET (4 p.m. GMT / 6 p.m. EET / 11 a.m. ET / 8 a.m. PT).
This 90-minute sequel builds upon the 2024 documentary "Memories of CS:GO – The Early Years," which explored the game's grassroots beginnings and rise to esports prominence. The new film delves into the defining moments of CS:GO's final chapter, including Team Liquid's ascent, the end of Team Astralis' dominance, the first-ever Brazilian Major victory, the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the esports scene, and Team Vitality's historic win at the last CS:GO Major.
Viewers will gain an intimate look into CS:GO's evolution through the eyes of its key figures. The documentary features insights from Nicolai "dev1ce" Reedtz, Casper "cadiaN" Møller, and Peter "dupreeh" Rasmussen of Astralis fame; Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski and Jordan "n0thing" Gilbert from Team Liquid; and Brazilian icons Alexandre "gAuLeS" Borba and Wilton "zews" Prado, who reflect on Brazil's monumental first Major victory.
Hosted by renowned esports presenter Freya Spiers, "Memories of CS:GO – The Final Years" uncovers the rivalries, teamwork, and passion that have shaped an iconic era in esports.
Fans can watch the premiere on Red Bull Gaming's YouTube channel: youtube.com/redbullgaming.
