This story seems impossible to believe, but it happened. On Sunday, August 12th, Romanian Hearthstone pro Radu “RDU” Dima attempted a Heroic Tavern Brawl using a joke deck that included the RNG heavy legendary, Mayor Noggenfogger. This legendary minion is considered one of the worst cards in the Mean Streets of Gadgetzan expansion and is a significant liability in any deck.

But that didn’t stop RDU. Here is the exact moment of his 12-0 victory using a variant of the Zoolock deck that curves out with none other than Mayor Noggenfogger.

Only a few streamers and pro Hearthstone players have managed to go 12-0, and in order to do so, they were using the best decks in the game, including Jade Druid, Midrange Jade Shaman, and Dragon Priest. RDU’s victory with a deck that was handicapped purposefully is an impressive RNG feat, especially when running a deck like Zoolock that can never justify a 9 mana minion which cripples its strategy of face damage and value minion trades.

Strangely enough, this story of RNG madness doesn’t end with a 12-0 victory. Before the now historic Heroic Tavern Brawl run, RDU opened a Mayor Noggenfogger from some packs, which prompted the idea from his stream to put it in his next deck. After the 12-0 win, RDU’s second pack contained another Mayor Noggenfogger. What are the odds?

RDU may have developed a large following due to his tight plays and Hearthstone skill, but it’s clear now that godlike RNG is his true calling. While I can’t recommend anyone to actually use this Mayor Noggenfogger deck seriously, the decklist is available to those curious.
